02PACKAGING & INGREDIENT SUPPLIERS
Becoming an approved supplier
Approval applies to a specific material and use. A new contact is not automatically an approved source.

Review the proposed supply
We review the packaging or ingredient, its intended use and the supplier’s production information.

Assess samples and compatibility
We assess samples against the drink and pack format. For packaging, we review food-contact documentation and liner compatibility.

Complete the audit
We review the production site and quality records for the proposed material.

Record the qualification decision
We record approval for the specific material and use. A supplier still under review is not an approved purchasing alternative.
Approved: we can consider the material for purchasing within the released qualification.
Unapproved or under review: we do not release purchasing on the basis of contact details or a quotation alone.
